Connection issues

Connection Keeps Dropping

Issue Description

The Bluetooth connection is unstable and repeatedly disconnects and reconnects during play.

Possible Causes

  • Weak or old batteries

  • Using both batteries and USB cable simultaneously

  • USB adapter output below 5V/1.5A

Solution

Check Your Batteries

If you are using AA batteries to power your GRANBOARD, try replacing them with fresh batteries. Weak batteries can cause connection issues. Note that old rechargeable batteries may also cause similar problems even when fully charged.

Use Only One Power Source

Are you using USB power and AA batteries at the same time? Using two different power sources simultaneously may cause the device to malfunction. Please remove one power source and check if the connection returns to normal.

⚠️ Important Note

To use the LED effects on GRANBOARD 3, 3s, or 132, power the board with USB only and remove the AA batteries.

Verify Your USB Adapter Specifications

Check the specifications of your USB adapter. If the output is below 5V/1.5A, insufficient power may cause Bluetooth connection issues.

Look for the OUTPUT section on the adapter body to find the performance details (see reference image below).

⚠️ Warning

Do not use an adapter that supplies more than 5V. Overvoltage can damage the LED and cause permanent malfunction.

Still Having Issues?

If the connection still doesn't work as expected after trying the steps above, please contact customer support with the following information:

  • A clear photo of your USB adapter showing the output rating (amperage and voltage)

  • Proof of purchase (receipt photo or screenshot of your order confirmation)

  • A video showing the connection issue on your GRANBOARD (optional but helpful)
