Scoring Is Slow


Issue Description

Scoring speed is slower than expected.


Possible Cause

  • Slow network connection

  • Heavy network traffic

  • AI model


Solution1 - Wi-Fi Environment

Check The Image Acquisition Speed

The Image Acquisition Speed Test feature measures how quickly your GRAN EYE can retrieve camera images over your network.

⚠️ This test measures network speed only. It does not include AI processing time.


How to Run the Speed Test

  1. Open MenuDevice SettingsGRAN EYEAdvanced Settings

  2. Select Image Acquisition Speed Test

  3. Run the test for left and right cameras

  4. Repeat the test 2–3 times to confirm average performance




Understanding Your Results


Good 300ms–500ms

  • Ideal performance


Slow frequently over 1000ms

  • Scores take more than 1 second to display

  • Usually caused by Wi-Fi environment


Timeout 5000ms

  • Image retrieval failed

  • AI scoring will not perform

  • During gameplay, it scores as MISS (0) or a camera connection error will appear



How to Improve Performance

● Move GRAN EYE closer to your Wi-Fi router

As a guideline, GRAN EYE and the Wi-Fi router should be in the same room, within 5 meters.


● Remove obstacles between GRAN EYE and Wi-Fi router

If there are obstacles such as walls or furniture, please adjust the installation position.


● Reduce the number of devices connected to the same router

When many devices are connected to the same router, communication becomes slow.

If possible, add access points to distribute the load.


● Avoid peak hours

Communication may become slower during peak hours, such as at night.


● Avoid running bandwidth-heavy applications

While using GRAN EYE, please avoid bandwidth-heavy activities on other devices, such as video streaming, online games, or streaming to external monitors.



Solution2 - Change AI model

Switching to a lighter AI model based on your device's performance may improve scoring speed.


How to Switch AI Model

  1. Open MenuDevice SettingsGRAN EYEAdvanced Settings

  2. Select AI Model Selection

  3. Choose a lighter model than your current one




Solution3 - Use USB Connection

It enables a stable connection without depending on the Wi-Fi environment.
