Camera LED Meanings

  • Green blinking: Attempting Wi-Fi connection

  • Solid green: Wi-Fi connection successful

  • Solid red: Wi-Fi connection failed

Possible Causes

  • Insufficient power supply

  • Incorrect Wi-Fi information (SSID or password)

  • Attempting to connect to a 5 GHz network

  • QR Code Scan Failed

Solution

Check Power Supply

GRAN EYE requires a power supply from a USB Type-C charger that is compatible with Power Delivery (PD).

Using an underpowered charger can cause connection failures.

Check points

  • Does your charger supply at least 20W?

  • Is your charger Power Delivery(PD) compatible?

  • Are you using the dedicated power cable?

  • Are you connecting directly to a wall outlet? (avoid hubs or extension cords)

Avoid Using a 5GHz Wi-Fi Network

GRAN EYE only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Do not use 5GHz networks.

How to check?

If the SSID contains 5G, it is likely a 5GHz network.

Does your SSID combine 2.4G and 5G bands?

Wi-Fi routers that combine 2.4G and 5G may cause malfunctions. Use a dedicated 2.4GHz SSID.

  1. Create a dedicated 2.4GHz SSID on your router.

  2. Re-generate a new QR code

  3. Re-scan the new QR code

*Router settings vary by manufacturer. Refer to your router's manual for instructions on creating a 2.4GHz SSID.

*Always reset the camera's Wi-Fi information when re-scanning the QR code.
