Firmware Update Procedure
Overview
Most GRAN EYE updates can be done through the app. When new firmware is available for your GRAN EYE cameras or Base unit, a pop-up will appear in the app suggesting you update.
Important Precautions
During the update, DO NOT:
Turn off GRAN EYE power
Press the reset button on cameras
Doing so may cause update failure and damage your unit.
Please make sure to use a USB Type-C Power Delivery (PD) compatible adapter. Using a non-compatible adapter may result in update failure and a non-functioning camera.
How to Identify a PD-Compatible Adapter

Method 1: Check the adapter body
Look for labels like "PD", "Power Delivery", or "USB PD"
If multiple outputs such as "5V/3A", "9V/3A", "15V/3A", "20V/3.25A" are listed, it is likely PD compatible
Method 2: Check the USB Type-C port
USB Type-C can be inserted either way (unlike traditional USB-A)
Some PD-compatible adapters display "PD" or a "⚡️" icon near the port
Method 3: Check the product box or specifications
If the packaging or product page states "USB Power Delivery compatible" or "Max output XXW" (e.g., 45W, 65W), it is PD compatible
Update Steps
Step 1: Start the update from the app

Connect GRAN EYE to the app
When the "Firmware Update" pop-up appears, tap the "UPDATE" button
Step 2: Execute the update

The app will automatically open the "FIRMWARE UPDATE" page
Tap the active "UPDATE" button
A "FIRMWARE updating" message will appear — wait until the update is complete
Step 3: Confirm the update is complete (camera lamp indicator)
You can see how the lamp and app display behave in the video below.
When you tap UPDATE, the camera's power lamp will flash red rapidly (update in progress)
When complete, the camera will automatically reboot — the lamp will briefly light blue, then turn red
After reboot, the power lamp will blink green (reconnecting to Wi-Fi) → solid green (connected) — the update is now complete
