Why the GranDarts App Was Created
The GranDarts App is a new application released on April 30, 2025.
It was developed to enable users of GRAN EYE—a steel-tip darts auto-scoring system launched in July of the same year—to enjoy their games.
Originally, our plan was to add a Steel Mode to the existing GranBoard App.
However, steel-tip darts and soft-tip darts have significantly different cultures and user experience expectations.
To fully utilize the capabilities of GRAN EYE and to deliver an experience that aligns with the culture of steel-tip darts, we decided to build a completely new application from scratch: the GranDarts App.
What About GRANBOARD Users?
We often receive questions like:
“The GranDarts App keeps getting updates, but the GranBoard App isn’t being updated anymore. What’s going on?”
Most update announcements you see on social media right now are for the GranDarts App,
so it’s natural for GRANBOARD users to wonder, “What about GRANBOARD?”
While it may look like the GranDarts App is moving ahead on its own, the work being done now is also part of preparing a better environment for GRANBOARD users in the future.
All Apps Will Eventually Be Unified
The GranDarts App is planned to become a single unified platform that both soft-tip and steel-tip players can enjoy.
Currently, there are two apps available for GRANBOARD users:
GranBoard App — used for playing games
GranPlayer App — used for viewing play data and managing digital content
These two apps will eventually be integrated into the GranDarts App.
This means that in the future, everything will be available in one place:
Gameplay
Viewing play data
Managing digital content
Communication with other players
To achieve this, we are currently focusing development on the GranDarts App.

■ For GRANBOARD132 Users
Starting in November 2025, we began gradually opening features to existing GRANBOARD users.
As of the update on November 17, GRANBOARD132 is now supported.

■ FAQ — About the GranDarts App
Q. Can I use the app even if I don’t own a GRANBOARD or GRAN EYE?
Yes. You can play both local and online matches using manual score input function.
Q. Do I need to register an account?
Yes. Account registration is required (free of charge). If you already have a GRANBOARD account, you can continue using the same account.
Q. Is this a steel-tip-only app?
No. The app supports both steel-tip and soft-tip darts.
However, the only compatible soft-tip board at this time is GRANBOARD132.

Q. Is there a subscription fee?
No. All features are available free of charge.
