We’ve released GranDarts app Ver.3.0.0.

The biggest news this time is that GRAN EYE now works on far more phones and tablets. Older devices and budget-friendly models can run it just fine.

On top of that, the first-time setup and getting GRAN EYE ready are much easier now.

GRAN EYE works by having AI look at a photo of the board and figure out where each dart landed.

That “figuring out” part is surprisingly heavy lifting. Until now, your phone had to do all of that work by itself, which meant you needed a device with plenty of power.

In Ver.3.0.0, the GRAN servers take over that heavy lifting.

When a device doesn’t have much power to spare, the phone simply sends the camera image. The heavy calculation happens on the server, and the result comes back to you.

So now you can enjoy your games even on a device from a few years ago, or an inexpensive tablet!

We cut down as many steps as possible between installing the app and throwing your first dart.

Just follow the on-screen guide, and you’ll be throwing in about two minutes.

Give your GRAN EYE a name

When there are several GRAN EYE units in one place, it wasn’t always clear which one you were connected to.

Now you can give each unit any name you like. Pick it by name — something like “Lane 1” — and you’ll always connect to the GRAN EYE you meant to.
