GRAN EYE is being renewed with an updated design that makes it even easier to use.
In this article, we’ll clearly explain what’s changed in the renewal version, pricing information, the differences between the old and new versions, and upgrade options available for existing users.
What Has Changed?
The primary change in this update is the installation method.
Instead of mounting the unit on the wall, the renewal version uses a magnetic mounting system that attaches directly to the dartboard.
The MagMount, which was previously sold separately, is now included as a standard accessory.
This allows anyone to complete the setup in about five minutes, with no complicated installation required.
⚠️ Please note: The scoring accuracy itself remains the same as the currently sold older version.
MagMount Now Included as Standard
The MagMount (a magnetic base for mounting the camera), which was previously sold separately, is now included as a standard accessory with the renewal version.
With this setup, no screws or tools are required, allowing anyone to install the camera in the correct position and angle easily and quickly.
Changes to Included Accessories
The following accessories have been updated as part of the renewal version:

New MagMount
The MagMount, which was previously sold separately, was designed solely for mounting the camera.
In the renewal version, the MagMount included as a standard accessory has been enhanced to offer greater convenience and functionality.
The new MagMount is divided into three main components

Mounting Arm
Arm Extension
❶ Echo
The Echo is integrated into the base of the MagMount. The cable is detachable, which reduces the risk of wire breakage.
The Echo is installed at three locations on the back of the dartboard: numbers 14, 13, and 3.
❷ Mounting Arm
The tip of the mounting arm serves as a bracket for attaching the camera.
By connecting the mounting arm to the echo, anyone can install the camera at the correct distance and angle.
❸ Arm Extension
By using the Arm Extension between the Echo and Mounting Arm, you can easily install the hub.
Both sides of the Extension are convenient for organizing cables.
Hub
The component previously called “Base Unit” has been renamed to Hub, and its functionality has also been updated.
SYNC LED port
The port for the optional SYNC LED has been updated to a USB Type-C port.
Type-C is easier to use, and is a user-friendly standard that also provides stable power supply.
Dartboard Light port
The additional USB port has been updated to USB Type-C and is now dedicated as a dartboard light port.
By connecting a power cable to this port, the Hub can control the power supply for a new dartboard light product currently being developed by GRAN DARTS.
This upcoming dartboard light will be an interactive lighting system, allowing users to adjust brightness and color temperature directly from the GranDarts app.
More detailed product information will be shared in future topic.
In addition, support for third-party lighting products is planned for the future update.
USB connection port
The port used for USB connection of GRAN EYE has been changed from Type-A to Type-C.
Previously, users needed to prepare an additional OTG adapter.
With this update, OTG functionality is now built into the Hub, eliminating the need for extra adapters.
In addition, a USB connection cable is now included as part of the standard accessories.

This means users can simply connect the Hub and their device using the included cable and start using GRAN EYE with a wired connection immediately.
