Game Rules
121 Check Out is a progressive darts practice game that begins at a score of 121. Your goal is to reduce the score to exactly 0, finishing on a Double, within a limited number of darts. Each score can be attempted for up to three rounds (nine darts) by default.
If you successfully finish 121 within the allowed darts, the next starting score becomes 122, then 123, and so on.
If you fail, the next attempt begins from one point lower than the score you failed to complete. Standard bust rules apply: going below zero returns you to the pre-throw score if you still have darts left.
The game continues until you reach the target Finish Score. In multiplayer, the game ends immediately when any player checks out the Finish Score.
Victory Conditions
- Single Player: The game ends when you successfully check out the Finish Score (default: 125).
- Multiplayer: The first player to check out the Finish Score wins.
Options Rule
Start Score
You can choose the score from which your progression begins. The Start Score must not exceed the Finish Score.
- Selectable range: 121–249
- If Max Darts per Score is set to 3, only scores 121–170 that allow a valid double-out or inner-bull finish can be selected
- Impossible finishes (e.g., 159) are excluded
Finish Score
The game always begins at 121, but you may choose the score at which the game ends. Once you check out that score, the game is complete.
- Selectable range: 122–250
- Same double-out restrictions apply if Max Darts per Score = 3
Max Darts per Score
Determines how many darts you may use to attempt each score.
- Default: 9 darts (3 rounds)
- Choices: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18 darts
Repeat Mode
Repeat Mode keeps the starting score fixed instead of increasing after each successful checkout.
When enabled:
- You always start from the selected score (default: 121)
- Score range: 121–250
- “Best Of” mode becomes active, allowing you to set how many successful checkouts are required to win (3–20)
Fallback Rule
Controls what happens when you fail to check out within the allowed darts.
- Return to the previous score (default)
- Return to the game’s initial starting score
Score Lock
Score Lock protects your progress if you meet specific conditions.
- If you check out using exactly 3 darts, that score becomes locked
- Even if you fail the next score, you will never drop below the locked score again
