Game Rule
Bob’s 27 is a finishing practice game designed to improve accuracy on doubles.
Each player begins with a score of 27 points and works through all doubles from D1 to D20, finishing with Double Bull.
The goal is simple: hit as many doubles as possible and build the highest score by the end of the game.
On each target number, the player throws three darts aimed at the designated double.
Your score increases when you hit, and decreases when you miss—making consistency essential.
How Scoring Works
When you hit the designated double:
Your score increases by: Double value × number of hits
Example:
- Current score: 32
- Target: D3
- Hit 2 times
D3 = 6 points → 6 × 2 hits = +12 points
New score = 44
When you miss all three darts:
You lose points equal to the double’s base value × 2 (the double score).
Example:
- Current score: 40
- Target: D5
- 0 hits
D5 = 10 points → −10 points
New score = 30
Winning Condition
- The player with the highest final score wins.
- In solo play, the goal is improvement rather than competition.
Option Rules
Hard Mode
This mode punishes zero-scoring more severely.
- When enabled, any player whose score drops to 0 is immediately eliminated.
- Remaining players continue until the end.
Reverse Mode
Extends the game by moving forward and then backward through doubles.
- After reaching Double Bull, the sequence reverses back down to D1.
- Order example: D1 → D2 → … → D20 → DBull → DBull → D20 → … → D1
Even Mode
Targets only the even-numbered doubles.
- Sequence becomes: D2 → D4 → D6 → … → D20 → DBull
- If Reverse Mode is also ON, the sequence returns back through the even numbers: D2 → … → D20 → DBull → DBull → D20 → … → D2
