We would like to update you on our plan to move users from the GranBoard app to the GranDarts app, bringing GRANBOARD and GRAN EYE players together in one app.
The GranBoard app will be phased out gradually. Below, “the old app” means the GranBoard app.

How the move will work
The transition will take place step by step between late October and early December.

Key points
Tournament creation stops on the old system (Oct 28)
The old tournament system linked to the GranBoard app will also be closed. The GranDarts app and the old tournament system are not compatible, so we will stop new tournament creation early to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Online play ends in North America first (Nov 9 – Nov 16)
Once the online play feature is closed, the number of GranDarts app users will increase significantly in a short time. To bring users over gradually, we will start with North America.
We chose North America because its peak online play hours fall within Japan's business hours, so our team can respond immediately if any issues occur. We will monitor the situation for about one week.
Tournaments on the old system will end for all users at the same time, to avoid confusion caused by the incompatibility between the old and new systems.
Online play ends for all regions (Nov 16 – Nov 24)
If there are no problems in North America, online play on the old app will close in all regions.
Login ends (Nov 30 – Dec 7)
About two weeks after online play closes for all users, it will no longer be possible to log in to the GranBoard app.

FAQ
Here are some questions you may receive from customers.
Q. When can I start using the GranDarts app?
Right now! The GranDarts app is already available and includes the core features, such as local games and online play. With the Ver.4.0 update, all features of the GranBoard app and GranPlayer app will be added to the GranDarts app. Users are welcome to start using it today, or wait until the Ver.4.0 update, whichever they prefer.
Q. Will my play data carry over?
Yes. Stats, play history, friends and purchases all carry over to the GranDarts app. Users just need to sign in with the same email address and password they have always used. Please note that if a user creates a new account with a different email address, it will start fresh and purchases cannot be moved to it.
Q. Can I use my existing account?
Yes. Users can sign in to the GranDarts app with the GRAN account they already have. All data and purchases will carry over.
Q. What about tournament compatibility?
We are currently running two tournament systems at the same time:
Old system (online.gran-darts.com): works with the GranBoard app only
New system (tournament.gran-darts.com): works with the GranDarts app only
The two systems are not compatible. Tournaments created on the old system cannot be played in the GranDarts app, and tournaments created on the new system cannot be played in the GranBoard app. Please make sure users check which system their tournament is hosted on and use the matching app. The old system will be closed as the GranBoard app is phased out.
Q. Can I keep using the same GRANBOARD and the same device?
Yes, all GRANBOARD models (GRANBOARD3s, GRANBOARD132 and GRANBOARD dash) work with the GranDarts app. However, the GranDarts app requires a slightly newer device than the GranBoard app did, so please ask users to check the system requirements on the App Store / Google Play before installing.
We know many players have enjoyed the old app for years, and moving to a different app may take some getting used to. Our team will be here to help them through it and make the move as smooth as possible.
